Tea Sachets

For over 20 years, we’ve been devoted to the art of loose-leaf tea — so we didn’t rush into tea sachets. When a truly responsible option became available, we knew it was finally time. Our tea sachets are made from a petroleum-free, plant-based PLA derived from corn, and are fully compostable. They contain no plastics and allow the tea leaves room to properly infuse.

Responding to our customers’ love of both quality and convenience, we now offer a select range of our handcrafted blends in eco-friendly sachets that make it easy to enjoy Denman Island Tea anywhere.

Tea Sachet Sizes – What’s the Difference?

We offer three sachet formats, each designed for a specific brew volume and purpose. Choosing the correct size ensures the tea performs as intended.

Large Format Tea Sachets
This is our original sachet format and the one we have offered for years. Developed for cafés and restaurants, these sachets are designed to properly infuse a full pot of tea or a large 16 oz mug. They contain more leaf, allow for fuller expansion, and deliver the depth, balance, and complexity our teas are known for.
This remains our standard and most popular option.

Small Format Tea Sachets (8–12 oz cup)
These sachets are designed for brewing a single 8–12 oz cup. They contain a lighter fill appropriate for that volume and offer a more economical option where a smaller serving size is desired. When brewed as intended, they provide a clean, well-balanced cup, though the flavour will naturally be lighter than our large format sachets due to the reduced leaf quantity.

Individually Overwrapped Small Format Tea Sachets (8–12 oz cup)
These use the same small-format fill as above, with each sachet individually overwrapped for freshness and convenience. They are well suited to hospitality, guest rooms, travel, or anywhere individual wrapping is preferred.

Important to note:
These formats are not interchangeable. Large format sachets are intended for teapots or large mugs, while both small format options are designed specifically for an 8–12 oz cup. Selecting the appropriate size is key to enjoying the tea as intended.
