Our Story in Brief

Now heading into our 3rd decade fully immersed in specialty tea, we reflect on all the wonderful manifestations a simple leaf brings to our daily lives.

From health & happiness to hope & gratitude for ourselves and for the hundreds of loyal & loving customers we’ve served.

Recently, this voyage landed us on Denman Island.  This is the place we will begin building the 3rd phase of the company – the long-awaited Denman Tea Garden.

The opening of our first-ever retail tea boutique in the Comox Valley will help support this 3rd phase.  We also have a cool little slice of our world of tea to share, to meet & greet, to have a little chin wag, if you have the time.

Come by and see us when you are in the hood.  We love to talk tea.

I have to be completely honest and admit that I did not and could not drink Yerba Maté for the first seven years I was in the tea business. Unlike my brother, who liked it from the very first sip, I could simply not wrap my palate around that smoky, earthy bitterness. I tried my […]

When I was asked to move to Toronto and join Teaopia a little less then two years ago, it gave me great pause for thought. I hemmed and hawed and after several months of this and much discussion with the owner, my belongings and I left BC (British Columbia), and shared a U-Haul across several […]

It floored me a little when I thought about it. Eleven years of all things tea and I had yet to visit an actual garden. They remained just images and visions, pictures that I have poured over for what seems like decades. Those pristine gardens of Japan where Fuji shimmers in the foreground; Darjeelings and […]

5 star review  I was so happy to discover a location right here in Courtenay and today I stopped at the cute little stand for a London Fog. Oh my....it was DELICIOUS ! The gentleman who served me ( I will learn his name next visit) asked where I usually get my LF's. I am not loyal to one place, it depends on my location, timing etc. That said, I think I could become loyal to this LF. It was lovingly prepared and I could taste the difference. Welcome to town, I look forward to more visits!

  • 5 star review  Amazing tea. Much better than David's tea! Ginger Fresh is my favourite. It has the right amount of burst of sweetness to balance the zest from ginger. Also, My mom loves Chamomile tea.She was amazed at the quality compared to the ones sold at the regular stores.

5 star review  This is the best tea I have ever had. The variety they offer is great, and once you find your favourites you will be hooked. The tea is strong and so flavourful. My extended family are now ordering from Denman Island Tea as well, we all love it!

5 star review  Kudos on your Citrus Blast mate! I've been drinking Yerba mate for many years and this is the best I've ever tasted. The citrus adds a, delicious uplifting zing to the basic earthy flavour profile.
