Matcha Dalgona

TikTok made Dalgona famous — we made it better. Meet the matcha twist that’s rich, fluffy, and dangerously addictive.

Ingredients:

•    4 tbsp maple syrup
•    2 large egg whites**
•    3 teaspoons matcha
•    ice cubes
•    milk of your choice

Directions:

1.    Using an electric hand mixer, beat the egg whites until they get frothy.
2.    With the electric hand mixer still going, slowly pour in the maple syrup and keep whipping until the eggs start to turn white and form soft peaks.
3.    Add in the matcha powder and continue to whip on high until all of the matcha is combined and everything is smooth and creamy. Be careful not to over whip or everything will get runny.
4.    Place some ice cubes into your desired glass. Pour in your milk of choice and top with the whipped matcha. Feel free to sprinkle on some matcha powder if desired, stir together and enjoy!
** You can use fava water if you’re not comfortable with egg white. Alternatively, whipped cream works great as well.
