Don't let the leaves fool you. When I opened the bag and saw the twisty OP grade, a flavour memory jumped into my consciousness. Dissing the bias that came from cupping lots of these, I cleared my head, my nose and my palate and took the inaugural slurp. Clean, very Ceylon, chestnut and floral, medium to light body with crisp tannins. I was loving it. If you know and like great Sri Lankan teas, this will please you a lot.

Nuances: Full-bodied, malty, spicy, takes milk well

Steeping Essentials

• Teaspoon: 2 level
• Water: 12 oz, less than 195ºF / 90ºC
• Timer: 3-5 minutes
• Storage: Sealed light proof jar/tin in a cool cupboard. Keep away from heat and light sources.
• Best Before: 6-9 months depending on storage. Optimum freshness in the first 6 months after opening
