Phoenix Dan Cong
Description
2026 Harvest
An absolutely unique tea-drinking experience and an all-time Denman Tea favourite.
One would almost think these beautifully twisted, semi-fermented leaves had been scented with a basket of ripe peaches and apricots. Yet the remarkable fragrance and flavour of this Oolong come entirely from the tea itself and the skilled processing of experienced tea makers.
Grown on Phoenix Mountain in China, this darker, more oxidized Phoenix Dan Cong produces an exceptionally complex cup. Ripe peach and apricot are particularly evident, accompanied by the deeper, richer character created through greater oxidation. The result is an intensely aromatic Oolong with layers of fruit, warmth and lingering sweetness that continue to develop through multiple infusions.
It is difficult to believe, after tasting it, that such distinctive fruit character can be achieved without the addition of flavouring. That extraordinary natural complexity is precisely what makes Phoenix Dan Cong such a fascinating tea.
Origin: Phoenix Mountain, Guangdong Province, China
